On the palate flavors of blackberry and cherry with vanilla and cedar with a creamy texture. Vivid acidity, well-structured ripe tannins, long finish on this full-bodied wine ending with fruit, oak and spice character. Should develop nicely over next 5+ years. Outstanding! Tasting Sample!

What a surprising treat. Still bursting with rich, lush, dark fruit, plus some grubby age, with mushroom, earth, maybe some black olive.

Decant one hour. Red roses and ripe raspberry on the nose. Deep plummy ruby in color. Young red fruit and tannins on rge palate. Full bodied with a pleasant medium finish.

This was such a surprise as to how lively it was after 17 years. I would never expect that from Napa Zin, but there you have it! It was such a beautiful and complex wine. Light red fruit held aloft by an earthy undercurrent and even some residual acidity.
