Floral, blackberry. Tannins a bit disjointed but certainly capable of quaffing!

Opaque ruby violet. Aromas of blueberry and blackberry with a whiff of cracked pepper and charred meat. Although not very complex, it’s round and fruity on the palate leading to a peppery finish of good length. Medium+ acid, soft tannins, and 14% alcohol. Misleading label as blend of 52% Syrah with 37% Carménère and 11% Malbec. Drinks like a Shiraz. $15.

Deep purply red. Big leathery plum nose with some earth and bread and licorice and mineral. Not so much layers, just words to describe one stationary aroma. Light on acid, plus residual sugar, which makes it a bit heavy. Just the slightest hint of malbecian tannins. I can clearly taste salt on my tongue. Smoky savory jammy finish that lingers long. Make sure you have a glass of water handy - this will make you uncomfortably thirsty. Overall big new world jammy red, but the salty savoriness is heavy handed. I wouldn't buy again.
