Tar and roses. A little tired.

A little oaky when first opened but opened up nicely with air. Very bright and fresh. Still a baby at 12 years.

Beautiful young Barolo with a bit of grip. Lovely!

Big lush fruit. Silky. Lovely.

Brandied cherries, mission figs, rose petal, truffle, leather, tar, cigar box, graphite, wet rocks, black cardamom. Snapping rounded acidity, satin texture, firm smooth velvet tannins, endless smoky-herbal-earthy finish. Aromatic, mature notes in their prime, perfectly balanced structure. Bulletproof, capable of another decade or two of aging.

Still deep garnet with minimal peripheral bricking. Classic nose of rose, earth, tobacco and tar. Mostly cherry on the palate but very deep and complex. Perfectly integrated tannins and balanced acidity. Long, long finish. Incredibly appealing. From magnum. Happy BD Judy.
