This continues the theme of ripe fruit and toasty oak with this Cabernet Shiraz Merlot blend. Not showing many Cabernet characteristics which is consistent with my experience with Barossa Cab blends. Leave Barossa for Shiraz and drink Cabernet and blends from McLaren Vale and Coonawarra IMO. Still a good red though.

On the nose, candied red fruits of; raspberries, strawberries, dark cherries. Blueberries, blackberries, delicate spices, beautiful ultra fragrant violets, raspberry cola, black licorice and dark dry florals. Palate; dry blackberries, dark cherries, blueberries, plum, black raspberries, warm spices, baking spices; cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, mocha, M+ thick sticky tannins, black cherry cola, black licorice & dark florals. The long finish doesn't fade...it's even throughout and the acidity is well done. Photo is of Cameron their Co-Managing Director who tasted through their wines that day. A shoutout and big thanks to him for his time, knowledge and sharing his excellent wines. I would say his higher end wines were the best we tasted in Barossa.

Imported by the Australian Premium Wine Collection. Lush, silky, sweet, with unsettling coconut/vanilla flavors.

Overripe black fruit and herbaceous nose with fruitcake and black currant jam palate, plus vanilla oak sweetness and a slightly sour finish.
