I saw this Meritage today from South Africa for $9.99 and I hadn't had a SA wine in awhile so I thought why don't we try this. The nose is a little restrained though I was able to pick up notes of blackberry, red plum, and black currant. On the palate we have the blackberry, plum, black currant, graphite and sweet wood. This has a light to medium body with medium acidity, medium smooth tannin. All in all a tasty bottle of wine for $9.99.
