Deep rich blue fruits with a wisp of leather, tobacco and chocolate. Surprisingly fruit forward for a cold year. Moderate acidity and tannins.

Welcome my friends and followers. Dr Todd's wine bar is open and ready to taste on of my favorite wines. This is Ehlers estate 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon from St Helena Napa Valley California. The cork is perfectly rimmed with the snallest absorption Ive ever seen. A good cork! The color is opaque yet dark purple as a minight shadow. The legs are 8 seconds long. The boquet is very aromatic wirh hints of dark berries and figs. The initial palate is blackberry and rasberry with a hint of melon. The finish is chololate spice and a touch of lemon peal zest! WOW the toungue and the forward roof of the mouth is stimulated and followed by a dry thirst for more!!!!!!
