Inexpensive Central Coast PN. Dense purple, highly extracted pigment for the variety. Cherry blackberry fruit leather aromas, though the person who mentioned Twizzlers (a red licorice candy here in the US) is close to the mark. Similar flavors with brambles, nice mouthfeel, rounded, easy drinking. One hour later, blueberry and underripe black currant flavors emerge with a touch of skin astringency. It’s not North Coast or Oregon, but it’s also inexpensive.

May 8th, 2015Solid Pinot, great flavor, slate, I kept thinking red twirlers so cherry and reasonable price point.

Aug 20th, 2023Lovely Pinot noir that’s more rustic and less fruity in taste than other Californian producers but it’s a good wine to enjoy on its own or with some nice roast ham.
Overtones do have some plum and light fruits so it will tickle those tastebuds.
