This time around was very good: nice smell and some fruit. Went very well with braised leg of lamb and winter veggies.

Nice bouquet of dark cherries and comforting earthiness, bu I was underwhelmed with the finish. It was quite limp- no layers, no linger.

Nice wine, still tannins and acidity. Was good with leftover meats.

Unfined and unfiltered this wine needed a decant to open up. At first there was a fruitless to the wine with cherry dominating. By the end of the bottle the wine had an earthy ness and funk that bewildered the sense. The tannins were integrated and pleasing.

Been a while since I've had one of these. Nice nose with red and dark fruits as well as some mushroom. Palate has more alcohol than I might prefer, which makes it a little rougher than I'd prefer as well.
