A simple Californian Chardonnay. Unbalanced, and little hot at the back of the throat.

Showing citrus, butter, oak, spices, alcohol and grapefruits.

Full bodied and bold.
Oaky finish and not my style.

14.5% alcohol by volume.

81 points.

$11.

Caramel candied apples, fresh hot kettle corn and stewed vanilla pears saunter over the rim of the glass while summertime drunken peaches delight those caramel apples as they sashay across the dance floor of your palate. Sweet sea salty kisses on the confident finish. A bolder white to conclude a sultry summer day.

Tried the ‘15 again, got worse, time did not help, rather time was the wine’s enemy. Straw yellow with heavy oily aromas of stone and tropical fruits. Flavors of apple and melon with citrus and heavy oak. Not crisp as it should be, medium finish ending with harsh spice, off balance. Pass. Tasting Sample.

Pale yellow hue. Aromas of apple, butterscotch, citrus, cream, peach, pear. Medium body and medium-plus acidity. Slightly oaky but rather well-balanced for a value pick. (Tasted in 2019.)
