Deep red violet with purple rim. Decant 1 hour to a medium nose of prune, cassis, blackberry, plum, black cherry, licorice, coffee/toffee, vanilla, sassafras and cedar. Full body medium acid of cassis, coffee, black fruits, and black pepper. Soft large chalky tannins lead to a long finish of dark cocoa, coffee and black pepper. Excellent structure and very good balance for great value at $19.73 USD. Great with red meat. Better in two years as tannins mellow.

Feb 15th, 2016Decanted the wine and it was very good! Notes of dark cherries and plums. It is dry but delightfully so. A wonderful cabernet, full bodied and seductive.

Tasted a little metallic when first opened so we only drank half of the bottle. The next day it was very good.
