Bill is one of Cali's better, yet under-hyped, winemakers who consistently produces excellent wines. this was more BDX like than a majority of its NV cousins to the west. refreshing NOT frooty, with harmonium like notes of herb tobacco and dried cassis blossoms. savory palate too. yum.

From vintage to vintage, this shows a variation between the warm Shenandoah sun or the cool, breezy elevations. This '11 is much more in the latter camp, with cassis, iron and pleasant pyrazine freshness. Thanks to Mike Dunne for the recent shout out in the Bee!
