2005 is such an underrated vintage!!! Perfection in a glass - smooth, roses, violets, tar. I would marry this wine if it were legal.

Just what the Doctor ordered - 2005 - a birthday present and a perfect fit for the Ragu I’m making to celebrate. Rich earthy, notes of plum, cherry, front palette zing with nice mellow acidity on the mid back palette for a smooth dry finish. Still opening up and will be great with food.

Bright, high pitched fruit tones of black cherry, plum and current with subtle floral lift and a spicy, mineral hint. The palate is singing with just a touch of creamy oak to intergrate. Red and black cherry fruit with a touch of blackberry. Tannins have started to resolve. Lacks a touch density to match the tannins. Pretty finish. This is not a powerhouse but elegant by Barolo standards. I see this evolving a touch more but ready to enjoy over the next 4 to 7 years.

Lovely, elegant aromas of flowers, cassis, red plum black cherry with hints of road tar and dried mushrooms. The palate reflects the nose with similar fruit tones. Tannins are wrapped in the fruit. Bright acidity for lift and texture. Drinking well at the moment and should develop with more cellar time.

Great. Probably even better in a year or two.

little shy wine but when you give time, it will show its character. V: slightly brown rim, deep concentrated dark ruby, lot of variation. N: flower, mint P: feminine, soft acid. this wine still have youth but it starts to show its maturation.
