Too oaky. Way too oaky... after about 2 hours in the glass it’s an obvious Northern Rhône Syrah, but prior to that... well made but pointless.

Not cheap but competes with la la's. Very similar in style. Rich with lots of dried herbs on the nose. This has the stuffing to last many more years even though I prefer the vignes hospices young when it boasts the fruitcake and blue fruits

Polished and juicy with nice fruit and a good amount of oak .A well made wine that lacks a little of the rustic /vineyard character that I like from the wines of this commune . A nice bottle though that would appeal to new world wine lovers .

Stunning on this night. Crazy nose of roasting lamb, roses, pine resin, and blackberries. Amazing spectrum of flacked and aromatics.

This is an elegant wine. It’s medium bodied and the tannins are pretty resolved. The problem for me is that it’s flavor profile is dominated by oak. With more restraint this could’ve been excellent.

Tar and waxy. Good structure but young and not fully evolved. Classic Northern Rhone scents of ripe berries cherry blossoms spice box and damp earth

Stewed black fruits, licorice, no gamey notes or french funk, touch of black olive. Super fine, polished tannins. Nice use of french oak. Not over the top. Very smooth.

Benchmark French Syrah for me. I find the elegant tannins, integrated French oak and textured mouthfeel to be captivating.
