Deep purple tawny color, mostly opaque. Crazy nose, exotic. Blackberries, roasted meats, menthol, cranberries and some smoked bacon. Silk, velvet glove with bright fruit in the mouth. Great finish. Continues to deliver, continues to be an all time fave for me.

Huge fragrant nose with notes of currant, smoked meat, iron, bacon, black fruit, soil and charred wood. There is a richness in the mouth that is hard to put words to. Long finish that got better over 5 hours of enjoyment. Amazing grape juice.

I'm with Bobby on this one. Truly superlative Côte-Rôtie!This wine gave me goosebumps! Amazing power and length whilst dancing on the palate with an ethereal lightness. Leather, truffle, black olive, cracked black peppercorn,dried lavender. Simply stunning!

Feb 22nd, 20165-Oh Bday Dinner... Bullseye in every way. Intense almost opaque in the glass. Reddish purple, still shows youth. In the nose, bacon fat, gravel and rich Syrah notes. In the mouth this stains everything it touches. In perfect condition and will drink well for years to come.
