Crozes-Hermitage Syrah

Really benefits from a solid two-hour decant.

Not overly complex, but a perfect blind. Peppery, black olives, and gamey.

Sweet red fruits and berries, almost candy like, mixed with a hint of stinky component. Quote pleasant actually. Smooth tannin but not very complex. Solid @$19.99.

Very solid classic example of Napa Rhone Syrah. Black fruit, smoke, pepper, bacon it may not be too shelf but it's very serviceable.

2010 Guigal Crozes-Hermitage is paradise in a bottle. Pepper, plums, dirt with medium tannin and acid. $25 of goodness. Not too complex but excellent nonetheless.

Excellent balance of old and new world syrah with a definitely funky back bone. Punching way above its price point. Great value.

2012 Fruit loops, tropical notes: banana, melon

Surprisingly good. Better than Gigondas and CDP in my opinion. Creamy texture and great structure. Pretty dry. 2013 vintage
