Brief notes. Mid Ruby in colour. Aromas of leather, soil and dried dusty cherry. On the palate unmistakably Tuscan Sangiovese with the same savoury descriptors coming through. Medium weight palate with medium plus length. From a quality producer in Fuligni. The Sommelier thought that 2016 in Toscana was even better than 2015.

Strawberries on open. Now that it’s settled it is earthy, dry, and more like red berries. Nice.

Good entry level Sangio from a great producer. Simple but tasty. Light-med body, sour cherry type fruit.

This gorgeously textured Rosso should be ideal with tonight’s mushroom enhanced Risotto. The 2023 Fuligni is everything one would, or could, ask from a young Rosso di Montalcino.
Beautiful, deep garnet appearance; loads of primary red fruits and earthy woodland aspects; Medium>full, balanced and well structured with perfumed aromatics, juicy acidity and very fine tannins that finish long. @klwines
