Supes interesting for a Cali Savvy B ok I’ll stop abbr.-ing things. My first thought on this was whew orange blossom and clover in the lawn! Then I sipped and was pissed because it has been hanging out with new French oak and I normally require my wines to have me sign a permission slip if they are gonna do that. But within a few minutes of the wine making friends with air I accepted this wine’s friendship with oak and saw that it added a certain solidness to this. Notes of (again) orange blossom infused vanilla bean creme brûlée and marzipan get in there. This is white wine for winter. Also I respect that Dutcher didn’t call this “Fume Blanc” even with it’s new oak. It doesn’t need branding bull. My rating is based not on personal preference because I’m an oak-not-loving snob. But you better bet this wine is balanced, complex and stays with you so it gets a high quality rating.

A little celebratory Sav Blanc thx to my main man @Mike Madigan for my return to writing. A little lemon zest and melon with just the right amount of roundness.

I'm not usually into the grassy tasting Sauvignon Blancs, but I liked it here. It just felt fresh, sharp and clean, with hints of honeydew. Luke got apple and strawberry.

Smooth, no tartness that you get with a typical sb. Goes down really easy.
