As expected, heavy sediment stuck to the bottle. Two hour decant ran through Venturi. Jet black in the glass, cinnamon, chalk and green veggies on the nose- no signs of age. Black currant, French roast and earth fills out the palette. Amazed that the tannins and acidity are in harmony. Distinct, lingering finish that goes on and never ends with smoke being the highlight. Dark plum, strawberry pulp, intense savory quality. Vibrancy in the finish with an honest 30 second length. Slight menthol finish. The pride of Howell Mountain!
