Duckhorn Vineyards Chardonnay Decoy

I'm not much of a Chardonnay drinker but this is great!

Pear, golden apple, vanilla, and rose petal on the nose. Round on the palate with plenty of floral notes. Some citrus brightness shines through, lemon with hints of lime. Balanced and tasty with an a bone-in skin-on chicken breast.

v19. Soft toast nose. Bright tropical and pear fruit with a touch of honey. Clean, oaky, mineral finish.

Enjoyed this, even though I don’t usually like Chardonnay. It was a bit lighter and less buttery, which I preferred. Shared with the Burds.

Paired w/fusilli pasta salad

Very good Chard for the price.

Light nose, very mild oak, very light on buttery taste, very smooth, drinkable wine with solid chardonnay taste.

I’m a fan of those old school Chardonnay butter-bombs. This wine is absolutely not that...and more generally appealing. Straw, pear...not over-the-top better.

Bright, floral, tropical fruit. Not to our taste, but a decent wine. (Donna)
