Duchman Family Winery Reddy Vineyard Sangiovese 2019: Light-bodied. Low acidity. Low tannins. Nice red fruit flavors of cherry, strawberry & pomegranate with some mild hints of spice & oak. This is a Texas wine made from 100% Texas grapes. Definitely not your typical Sangiovese wine. For me, this wine was more of a summer aperitif, chicken or fish wine instead of a grilled steak, due to its missing Sangiovese complexity & depth; characteristics youβd expect from this grape variety but then again, the grape is taking on the expressions of where it grows, the local terroir! Not excited about this Sangiovese, however, there is a suttle floral aroma. A bit light on body with hints of raspberry to the palate yet finishes dry with decent tannins.
