This doesn’t taste like it’s from Tuscany. The Sangiovese’s characteristics are mellowed by the merlot. It doesn’t taste youthful. The acidity fades pretty quick, and all you taste is the fruit.

There is no reason for this to be good. And it isn’t. But... it’s much better than it should be.
