"Entre Deux Mères" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

Most vintages of this wine are great pop and pour candidates but this one really benefitted from some time in the decanter. Both the tannins and the acid are strong. Nice flavors of raspberry, cola, baking spices and vanilla with mineral notes on the finish.

Notes of dark cherry, cocoa, leather,, tobacco on the nose, tannin developing, a little tight, nice but some what thin mid palate common in 2011 vintage, nice finish.

For a 2011 Napa cab, it has impressive structure and complexity. Not a fruit bomb. Slightly tannic on opening, it needs about 1 hour aeration.

Drinking really nicely right now. Rides the middle ground perfectly between old school and modern Napa cabs. If anything leans more old school. Not a bad vintage for this bottle given that the critics poo-poo 2011.

I love these ladies wine. 2011 was a difficult vintage and this bottling shows only hints of green. Still enjoyable with great texture and balance. Nothing over done in tannin, acid or oak. One of the best approachable Napa cabs and fabulous qpr.

Give her some air! Became more balanced as time went on the spice and alcohol fell in and the finish was velvety and perfect. Wonderful wine.

Unreal. One of my favorite off the path wines.
