this wine is super serious. there are some perceptual oak tannins in here, it's almost peaty like islay scotch. oh also the mouthfeel has a lovely glycerin weight and the acid is bright as morning frost

A very "I can't believe it's California Sauvignon Blanc." Weighty rich texture reminiscent of white Bordeaux, but still light on its feet.

I normally enjoy this bottling, but perhaps waited too long. Nose and entry were fine, but a really harsh note on the finish derailed this for me.

This remains the perfect Sauvignon blanc. I still can't get over the papaya and mango...

Straw color, nose of mineral and toast, body a little tight with hints of lemon curd, wet stones blended with a little too much oak, finish medium. May need more time to open

Better than I remembered from the tasting room. Loaded with honeydew and cream. Complex and rich with a clean acid driven finish that refreshes the palate and makes you come back for more.

On the nose, deep, complex aromas of pineapple, mango, stone fruits, sweet golden delicious apples and ripe pear, with hints of raspberry, complicated by intense granite and chalk notes, sweet fresh herbs (thyme, tarragon), white flowers, and wood and baking spices (vanilla, balsa wood, cinnamon and clove). On the palate the wine is taut, but also rich and mouth-filling, with waves of tropical fruits, sweet apples, and stone fruits, lifted and cut by racy notes of chalk, granite and graphite, intermingled with citrus fruits (lemon, lime, texas red grapefruit) and round acidity. Medium to full-bodied with a long finish, this wine is serious and penetrating, and it will age gracefully for many years.
