I don’t need all the fingers on one hand to count the number of Rkatsitellis I’ve tasted!

Apple, lemon candy, grapefruit, peach and slate. Great acidity and minerality.

Extremely complex and full of acidity. Aromatics of lemon, Granny Smith apple, basil, wet stones and rubber. The pallet features flavors of lemon pith, peach, green apple and slate. Straw colored and lively. Hint of fruity sweetness on the finish. Nice FLX expression of this outstanding Eastern European grape!

Nice aromatic aperitif style wine perfect with a cheese plate. Georgia on my mind!

When our friend handed this to me and mentioned “Finger Lakes” I assumed Riesling. It wasn’t until I tasted the remnants two days later that I realized it was Rkatsiteli. Nicely done. 👍

Never heard of this straw-colored wine before (the grape originated in Georgia... as in Russia) but the low price at Gelsons lured me in. Luckily, Dr. Frank’s prescription was for lemon curd and Thai basil, and this slightly fizzy beverage went down like a cold beer on a summer day.
