Ürziger Würzgarten Kabinett Riesling

Vintage 2016 | very true to type Riesling. Lovely vanilla in smell, ananas, passion fruit, buttery. ‘Spritzig’ in taste with remarkable sweetness kept in check by high acidity. Could drink this whole summer. And be happy. | Paired with a Spanish Tortilla. Nice start of the weekend.

Vintage 2016 / the archetype of Mosel Riesling, an exotic smell, passion fruit and ananas, sweet touch ánd acidity. Awesome balance. With a deep bow to Michael Broadbent RIP who appreciated the classic Mosel.

A bit limey but with a white pepper spice going on. Real damn good

Yum. Feels the way Kabinett should feel: dry, and juicy-electric.

Had to get Germany back over Italy's #'s in regions... :) a bit of '11 funky Kabinett albeit good nontheless

Loved it. Crisp, vibrant stone fruit, minerally infused and a tangy sweet under note. It paired perfectly with aged, white cheddar (Cougar gold!) topped with either a jalapeño infused strawberry preserve or a plum chutney. 😋

01-05-23. $20. Seemed one dimensional, perhaps, too young.

A strong, mown grass/plastic note on the nose, with chalk dust. Not entirely pleasant, but interesting. Outstanding on the palate, with a well balanced chalky, lemony, minerally flavor, with an almost crunchy aspect probably due to near effervescence. Really good, especially at $21.
