I’m sitting here in my Camper after a wine tasting at Dautel (Württemberg, Top wines), sipping this Pfälzer GG (great body and a certain opulence—the wine is top-notch, a real Pfälzer Riesling spectacle) and mulling over the plans for my bike tour along the Baden Wine Route—a crazy combination. Over the next 12 days, I’ll be biking over 500 miles and sampling wines from 16 top wineries in Baden. Looking back, I’ll feel like I’m in heaven.
