This was surprisingly weak in our 2004 riesling study. Very sweet fruited and a touch warm. Rich and minerally. Probably needs time to sort itself out.

Impossible to dislike this wine. It’s big and elegant, perfectly balanced and very long. Wow! At that time it was a spätlese trocken. 🚀👊🏻🍾😍

Hard core of minerality but an enormous richness to match. A little peaty on the nose.

I would decant this wine. Surprisingly soft (the acid is present but subdued by bigger alcohol and age) but with so much subtlety and depth. Mineral, petrol, yellow apple, lemon, ground ginger.
