Rheinhessen Auslese Riesling

Pale straw with a bouquet of flowers and lemon curd on the nose! Sweet but not sugary, flavors of peaches, red apple, pineapple, sweet pink grapefruit and honey. Not entirely full-bodied but perhaps that's the touch of acidity to keep it light and dancing on the palate with a nice lingering finish. A lovely German Riesling (Auslese) that's great on it's own or paired with cheese!

Love this from Trader Joe's!

This was a purchase from Trader Joes a few years ago. We may have waited a little too long to drink it. It was nice and fairly smooth, however became flat quickly. Crisp with predictable sweetness. A German import, my son being able to read the cork, and label was most enjoyable.

I have kept a bottle of this wine on hand for several years, being sure to replace from TJ's as consumed. Consider this as a pairing with a broad range of appetizers.
