This Portuguese wine comes on strong and savory. Almost black in the glass, it has a leathery nose of dark fruit and tobacco. The palate is rustic, bursting with blackberry, plum and wild berries. Savory notes also dance across the tongue. The tannic structure is somewhat soft and the finish is medium long.

Lovely rosy red. Smells a bit woodsy and kinda medicinal (like an old time tonic). Plenty of plum in there too. Flavor is a bit tart. Cranberries and pomegranates. Not much ‘sweetness’ and/or fruitiness. The flavors are funky and kinda mushroomy. Dark chocolate and coffee stuff too. Overall, it’s a pretty simple and easy Portuguese’s red. European. Unique. Tasty and drinkable.
