Donati Family Vineyard
Paicines Claret
An old school, 5 grape Claret from Paicines AVA. Ripe blackberry, boysenberry, jam, smoke, blueberry, leather, and red dust. Clearly hot climate juice that that could use more acid, but for $15 you can't complain.

Jul 23rd, 2017I can't even recall where I got this bottle. It isn't bad and it's quite drinkable but nothing to write home about. It has a bit too much unbalanced acidity for my taste.

Apr 15th, 2017Fruity, drinkable, red blend. Enjoyed it. The 2013 needs to be decanted, a lot of precipitant in the bottom.

Nov 29th, 2018Hot sauce on the nose. Soft tannins with a balance of black fruit and leather. Deliciously smooth.

A solid cab-dominated Central Coast blend. Herbs and candied fruit on the nose. On the palate we get cut grass, boysenberry, sweet cherries. Puckering, slightly astringent finish.
