Notes of cola, some earthiness. It has nice body, a little thicker. Slightly more astringent at the front and middle of the tongue. Dry finish. Very nice.

Earthy notes, maybe a hint of mushroom? That's also reflected in its taste, in my book, while my wife noted its dryness Not bad.

Trader Joe's, $11
Dark and opaque black cherry color. Surprisingly subtle nose of ripe dark fruit, not astringent. A bit acidic and minerally, but nice dark fruit flavors with a chocolate or tobacco sweetness. Still quite dry though and has a slightly bitter finish. Medium to full body which unfortunately makes the slight bitterness linger. Decent wine that has some good flavors and potential, but didn't love it considering the price.

Good balance if sweet and dry. Ate with thai which wasnt a perfect pair but still went really we. Pairing blunted the taste but it wasnt bad. Smooth, not too strong after taste. Low acidity. Mildly sweet
