Never going to be a great wine but was always decent. Being an ‘04 helps. 15 years on this is a really good wine, very much characteristic of the appellation. I would drink it NOW.

I feel the same also did on 8/21/15 - this wine has peaked. Kim recommends decanting the next one; we will see.

Really disappointing this time. Last bottle I had was amazing; this was a pale shadow of that. Cork was in good shape. Garnet color, some brown on the edge; it was beautiful in the glass. Nose of dark berries, plum, hint of raisin, eucalyptus. A touch of musty "forest floor". Everything worked until it his the palette - the intensity was diminished and the finish was -maybe - a medium minus. Smelled more complex that delivered. I have a couple more; perhaps they'll be better, or perhaps this wine has peaked?

Not a great producer but 11 years after vendemmia - 2004 was a great year for Tuscany - this was fantastico. Phenomenal cherry aroma and taste, beautiful color; great with the beef stew we had tonight.
