Great price value ratio. I sell this wine for 7,70€ and everyone in a blind tasting gave it at least double the value.
Needed time to open up and really show it's varietal traits. At first it seemed like a nice wine, but with more red fruit than black fruit and missing some of the typical Mencia notes, after a while it shined. Well polished.

Blackberry, olive, a smoky note. It could be almost mistaken for a northern rhone Syrah. The palate goes in another direction though with a strong acid drive, red forest berries notes, a good width and a vivid mouthfeel that expands quite nicely in the rear with a tannins wall building up, leaving a nice drying layer that caresses until the very end of a nice fruity finish. It's good and it's fresher than most Spanish red I have ever tasted

Strong and acidic - bit one dimensional

New grape for me. Fruity, medium body. Has some weight but can be without food. Great value wine.

Smooth, slightly oaked.

Developed dark fruit, good concentration, soft tannins, rich and balanced. Very good value for money!

2011 mencía, 6 meses en barrica de roble francés y americana. Limpio mate color granate picota, ribete cereza granate capa alta, lagrima media , densa. Aroma a clavo, pimienta frambuesa arándanos grosellas. Seco, salado, picante, complejo, sabroso, goloso, intenso, elegante, fresco.precio 7/8€

Cherry, herbal notes and hints of chocolate and vanilla aromas. Medium body, spry tannins and acidity. Fine fruit.
