This had a lot of parallels to the Rhône valley with its raspy herbal character, smoke, and black mineral notes. A Spanish "garrigue" of sorts. Complex and love how the earthy character is right up next to the fruit and sharing the stage

A mouthful, intense across the board: structure tannin), body (alcohol), with oodles of ripe, and fairly fresh fruit buried in massive amounts of oak. It should be much better in 5 years, but right now it's own size gets in its way....

Big hips. Serious oak presence matched with a very mannered house style by Atauta. Good fruit, tannins a little unripe but you can see where this wine is headed. Quality.
