Star bright pale yellow. Inviting nose of yellow apple and honeysuckle. Juicy bright acidity leads the medium-bodied palate which confirms the nose adding dry-ish honey and cement block. Finish is moderate in length and maintains the juicy acidity. At least I think it’s moderate because it’s such a tasty treat with just enough sweet balanced by just enough tart that I can’t help but swig one sip after another pausing only for my crab cakes and mixed root vegetables (beets and carrots mostly). For me, the Rhein and Nahe are preferable to the Mosel as the former are more food friendly at all Prädikat levels. This is no exception. Pair with just about anything. And try not to swig.

Star straw gold. Inviting nose and medium light palate of tart yellow apple, honeysuckle, and a hint of flint. Mouthwatering medium plus acidity strikes on entry balancing the K-level sweetness with aplomb. Pork chops, sausages, mildly spicy Asian fare, fried chicken, and of course anything German, will thank you for the pairing. Drink now through 2030 or beyond.

Star bright straw gold with green highlights. Inviting nose of yellow apple and orange blossom. Medium palate of bright yellow apple, honey, and white peach. Bracing acidity balances the off-dryness making for a great accompaniment to roasted poultry or pork. Drink now through 2030.

Star bright, very pale straw gold. Abundant nose of green apple with stony white flowers. Palate (medium light body) echoes the nose with bracing acidity balancing what and the beginnings of a slight petrol note. Wow! Classic bright Rheingau that’s a great match for a wide range of foods. Pork and rich seafood dishes will fare particularly well, as will soft to medium cheeses. Drink now through 2028 and beyond.
