Easy going blend of Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon. Has a nice level of acidity and tannin. Loads of dark hedgerow fruit and a touch of sweet spice. Not hugely complex, but a crowd pleasing sort of wine. Will be lovely with a rare sirloin steak. £15 a bottle and holds its value.

Dark rubi robe, nose of asphalt, cedar wood, tobacco and peppers. Medium bodied, svelte 13.5 alcohol, very complex and elegant. Great now and no rush. Top wine from Mendoza, Catena and Rothschild.

Terrific value on this cab/malbec blend that ages very well. I drank my last 2005 in 2017, and a 2008 in 2018, and if you leave it opened for over an hour and decant it, very fee people will guess you paid around $15 for this wine. Every bottle I open is a gratifying surprise and, since I’m running out, I will get a new case and hide it for a few years!
It is medium bodied, elegant, easy to drink.
