Rating is based on 12 Riesling Herrenweg de Turckheim aka road of the gentlemen which is stunning w/ intense limestone minerality and long flinty finish...will make great old bones. 10 Riesling Terroir d'Alsace has sharper acidity due to vintage w/ white peach & floral notes. 12 Pinot Blanc has creamy texture & blanched almonds. 12 Pinot Gris a rich body w/ warming alcohol & distinctive lees-y, smoky notes. 11 Gewürz VT has lychee, mango, exotic spice w/ hint of perfume

May 6th, 2015Austere wine for a ZD, and advanced for a 2010. Nose heavy with petrol, orange peel. Crushed minerals, preserved lemon, iodine and sea spray. Much more mineral than fruit palate is medium + body, taught bracing acidity. Lemony with mineralogy and diesel trumping fruit. Fantastic, but not for everyone. $28
