Doing the typical “Two sides of the Loire” comparative tasting.
Expressive and sweet on the nose, brimming full with tropical fruit salad with a dash of basil & nettle.
On the palate, balanced yet with the sweet fruit clearly dominating. A slightly bitter, almondy note emerges towards the finish.
Mouthwatering and rather good though trying to be too New Zealandy for me. Miss the smoky & mineral character.
