Complex nose of tangy mid season cherries, spice, huge spice actually, citrus skin, loads of earth and mineral. Haunting. Absorbed the oak. Palate is terrific with deep vibrant sweet fruit and velvety tannins. Great freshness and depth. Great wine.

Nov 3rd, 2019One of my favorite wines from Xavier. Big complex nose. Some spice, some dark cherries, mineral. Very clean, nuanced and pure aromas. Terrific fruit with toothsome tannins and great sweetness. A firm spine and structure make this not that ready for prime time yet but it’s really struts after 2 hours. I’d wait 2-3 more years. Great showing.
