Aug 24th, 2019Fantastically deep nose of spice, sap, framing oak, dark cherry fruit and loads of mineral. Superbly fruited and well defined nose. Palate is sweet and super mineral with lovely freshness and complexity along with terrific driving energy. Terrific sap and purity. Very good. Will age 15 years.

Apr 10th, 2019Aloxe Corton continues to be massively underrated. Gorgeously deep and refined aromas of Black cherry, spice and some hints of oak being absorbed. Palate is complex and structured like this cuvee normally is but with so much fruit, complexity and spice. Incredible palate presence and much density and sweetness. This needs and hour but then is a terrific terrific value. Will age for 10-12 years easy.

Palate is sappy and dense with terrific structure and freshness. Cuts a deep swatch and has some serious tannins all the while remaining fresh and zingy. Needs 45 minutes to get there.
