A lovely dry Riesling from Kaysersberg. I believe it was fermented and raised in large oak cask, which explains the texture and savory notes. A little hint of sweetness made for a good pairing to red beans & rice.

Petrol on the nose like you would expect from it... Medium dry on the palette with laser focused acidity and minerality... Incredible balance!!!

Jul 30th, 20162012. Light salt and slate (rockiness) on the nose. Florals, Granny Smith apples, stone fruits, and oak (and a little trace of that slate) in the bouquet. Elegant with a smooth, linear finish. Not very complex; just a simple enjoyable drink-alone.

Love this stuff. Quince paste and all kinds of citrus pith. Restrained, high-toned flavors, but full-bodied with a decent amount of glycerol.
