Well made New world style wood infused dark red fruited balanced wine of half half Grenache and Syrah. Didn’t pair so well with Amah meat balls, kalbi but would have been good with steak. AA value 5!

Wowzers, holy dark as night color Batman! Robust nose as well, even 8-9 years on. Plenty of mountain berries (huckleberry & forest blackberry). Also some cow leather, licorice and tomato leaves. Hints of ground dill seed and bacon bits too. Flavor is rich and opulent. Cherry (Bing or another black), walnut liquor, anise, tobacco leaf/unlit cigars. Not very Old World, but still dense in the mouth and flavorful. It would be a nice match for a steak on the fire or a BLT with spicy mayo and a full fledged heirloom like Cherokee Purple. Overall it’s a steal to find this at Gross Out for $5!
