Domaine Vincent Paris
Crozes-Hermitage Syrah
Very much on the dark, earthy, minerally side. So dark and full of smoky ember crushed stone that I’d almost be tempted to place it half-way around the world in Walla Walla. Palate is rich and dark, a highlights more savory minerally notes than fruit. Distinctive and good but not a typical fruity Crozes.

Jan 30th, 2022Nose: distinct black cherry, plum, mild spices. Not “deep.” Some yeastiness. Taste: nice spice, smooth tannins, nice mouthfeel. Bitter plum. Little chocolate, maybe some licorice? Berries too - blueberry or blackberry. Pretty good. Very slight amber, herby taste. Good, but glad I got it on deep discount ($10 or so).
