Domaine Vincent and Sophie Morey
Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru Chardonnay
I'm with Duilio on the '07. An unfortunate case of premox. Completely muted, unexpressive nose with oak being the only prominent feature. My score would be lower if the acidity & body weren't so correct. A real shame! I would be crying right now if this wasn't a gift. White burgundy with bottle age is a real crapshoot!

May 7th, 20152020 vintage. Last tasted 2.25.23. Vibrant color. Beautiful marriage of minerals, oak and acidity currently. Still much too young but performing well now. 12.8.23.

Dec 8th, 20232020 vintage. Obviously on the youthful side but a tremendous nose filled with promise. Beautiful, medium-styled body with some white peaches and light citrus flitting past. Some complimentary oak in the conversation. Oodles of "minerality" with that big, wind it up, walk into the sunset on the saline finish. 2-4 years of cellaring definitely won't hurt but showing pretty darn nicely now. 2.25.23
