Poured into a decanter several hours prior to service. No formal notes but this was a delicious pairing with traditional cassoulet. Dark bramble fruits, mushrooms, white pepper, earth. The structure is unrelenting and this La Migoua almost comes across young at the legal age of 18. It remains a deep, mysterious and intellectual wine. Drink now with a good amount of air, some great food and plenty of time to ponder. Well cellared examples will continue to drink well past 2030.

From magnum, gotta say it's showing quite well. Tawny fruit, cellar aromatics and quite zippy. #Tempier

My second-least favorite Tempier I’ve ever had. Not showing well at all. Two in one night, so sad

Starting to show notes of caramel, sadly indicating this is the end of the drinking window for the ‘04s.

Still quite young, very good now but it has a long and exciting life remaining.

Fruity, slightly plummy nose, which follows through on the palate but less so. Full bodied, round and concentrated flavors followed by a good finish. Tannins are soft, but this wine has years ahead.
