La Charme aux Prêtres Marsannay Chardonnay

Unbelievable. Blind, you wouldn't think Marsannay. Chablis-ian at it's core texture.

Mineral and long. Killer QPR

Good concentration. Citrus. Might wish for a touch more acidity. Still, quite flavorful.

Deep golden colour, some lemon, wax and a hint of gooseberry on the palate, medium length. Not especially rich or textural. Difficult to tell if it will improve with further cellaring, but I’d hope so.

Wow this really showed up. A previous bottle was a little tired, and this was the opposite. Spicy, fresh, lively, versatile with food, jumping out of the glass. Really enjoyed at a Philly byob

Have been really excited about Pataille. Really liked his aligote offerings and the various Marsannay rouge I’ve had have overperformed. This wine was good but fairly advanced. Deep golden color and some gentle oxidation, though still a fair amount of zip and verve. I’m hoping my second bottle is fresher, otherwise it’ll fit in better as a cheese pairing in the future. Continue to be impressed with what I’ve had from Pataille. This has very nice aromatics, and a complex and deep flavor profile. Minerally with a long finish. Medium / full body. Delicious.
