2013. Not much has changed, at all, since my last note a bit more than a year ago. Open a day, this is still big, inky dark and concentrated, with complex aromas and flavors. Still delightful. Still a treat. GSM. 70-20-10. 14.5 abv. $24.99

Pretty muscular straight out of the bottle, but leaned out with time. 70/20/10 GSM, but immediately highlights the jam of Grenache, followed quickly by the spice of Syrah, and the structure of Mourvèdre. It's chewy, leathery, and rough, but the brambly ripe raspberry is there from the start. Red meat or a good chèvre (or both) are necessities here.
