Domaine Sorin-Coquard
Saint-Bris Sauvignon
Second time having this, and this time it’s easy to tell this is from the Chablis area and more difficult to tell it’s Sauvignon. The terroir scents—wet brothy limestone—is most prominent and the fruit is so ripe that the Sauvignon’s usual herbal notes are absent, replaced with nicely ripe appley and even orchard fruit. Great value!

Sep 14th, 2022I love this. Nose is bright with lemon, crushed tingly limestone dust, a bit of green herbs. Big flavors are bone dry, fresh, crisp, and minerally. What a bargain this is!

May 1st, 2022Burgundy SB. Yes, it's not only chard and PN out there. You got aligoté too and SB. But only in the western region of St Bris.
Found this wine at the wine fair in Lille as the winery are one of a few who do a varietal Cesar, late ripening red allowed in the Irancy AOC.
First impression at the fair: mushroom, soft with SB fruit and good acidity. Better on the palate. Xmas retasting showed peach, almond with the black currant leaf, elder flower and yoghurt palate and aftertaste.
