Good Pinot Noir. Ended up being a pricey bottle at a cl1ent dinner. An event to remember 😊

Light ruby with thin amber rim. Nose is a bit shy but with time reveals strawberry, tea, and damp firewood as well as hints of cedar, sage, and baking spices. On the palate, it's light bodied with brambly red fruit, balanced acidity, nice tannic grip, 13.2% alcohol, and a long, lightly spicy finish. Though labeled generally as Willamette Valley, the fruit is sourced from Domaine Serene's Jerusalem Hill estate vineyard in the Eola-Amity Hills AVA and aged 17 months in 62% new French oak. $90.

PNP. Damp firewood, smoke, and strawberry on complex nose. Tart fruit and floral notes on earthy palate. Medium long finish with firm tannins.
