Dark purple. (Mega purple?). Nice horsey and berry-ish nose. Bit of brandy. Flavor is classic Rhône. Berries and cherries married to anise and licorice. Some more brandy or liquor in the mouth too. Less dense and chewy, more of a elegant and classy customer. Plenty of French-y bitterness on the backend. Nice drinking, true to type; an everyday Rhône.

Took an hour or so to open up, but once it did it was pretty classic Rhone - lots of dark cherry, a little spice and cedar on the nose and tongue. It won't age well, but it's a fine representation a villages Rhone.

Bright red/black fruit and stony minerality lingering in my mouf. Ripe indeed, but acidity is there to match.

Big alcohol on this ( 15.5) but you don’t taste it. Intense, jammy, fruity, almost syrupy.
